Certification Program
CANPLY EXTERIOR plywood is subjected to continuous quality control checks by mill personnel. In addition, quality is monitored by CANPLY Quality Certification inspectors during regular mill visits. CANPLY inspectors take random plywood samples back to the CANPLY Technical Centre, North Vancouver, B.C. for extensive laboratory testing.
Certified CANPLY lab technicians complete the quality auditing process by performing a series of rigorous tests which verify glue bond integrity and panel strength.
Mill Inspections
CANPLY Inspectors perform over 160 mill audits annually to ensure that Domestic and International Standards are met.
Laboratory Testing
Certified CANPLY lab technicians complete the quality auditing process by performing a series of rigorous tests which verify glue bond integrity and panel strength. This involves subjecting samples to extremes of heat, humidity and pressure far in excess of those likely to be encountered in service.
To pass, plywood must remain intact and when tested to destruction the glue bond must continue to perform.
Only plywood which meets the exacting quality Standards imposed by CANPLY's Internationally Accredited Quality Control Certification Program may carry the CANPLY EXTERIOR Mark.
