Miramichi, NB - ATCON Plywood announced today a temporary shutdown of its operations.
The shutdown comes at a time when the forestry industry in New Brunswick is facing tough market and operating
conditions due to multiple factors, including a significant decline in plywood prices, high cost of wood, the
availability of wood and the continuing high cost of energy.
Approximately 100 employees will be affected by the announcement.
